We are a family run pub in Woodham Mortimer, between Maldon and Danbury in Essex. We serve home cooked food from local produce and have a great range of beer, ales and wine. We'd love you to come and visit us. We have a large child friendly beer garden and barbeque area. We have a big, easily accessible car park. If you're looking for a venue for your special event we have separate barn in our grounds called Mortimer's Barn, which seats 25-30 people. We also have dedicated marquee in the pub garden from April/May to September/October for parties, christenings, anniversaries.

The pub has a long history and the building itself dates back 400 years. Come inside and see lots of our historic photos charting the changes to the pub during these years.
